To support the implementation of this initiative, the Portuguese Erasmus+ Education and Training National Agency (NA) defined as partners municipalities, in order to achieve a greater national coverage.

 

The selection criteria defined by the AN are as follows:

• One City Council per NUTS region (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for statistical purposes), whenever possible;

• Belong to the International Network of Inclusive Cities, whenever possible and appropriate;

• The partner with the best proposals / evidences will be selected (in case of indecision, the NA will be able to choose the one that considers to fit best the objectives of this initiative).

 

In the 1st year of implementation, the NA selected 8 municipalities. In 2019/20, the NA has selected 11 municipalities. The EC intends to continue this initiative in the next European Programme, starting in 2021.
